Course Facilitator
Dr. Marc Bertrando has served as the Superintendent of Schools for the Garnet Valley School District since 2013. Dr. Bertrando came to Garnet Valley from the West Chester Area School District in Pennsylvania, where he served as a teacher, high school principal, and an Assistant Superintendent for a total of 20 years. He was also previously employed by the Brandywine School District in Wilmington, Delaware where he taught 7th grade language arts.
This six-week course will equip educational leaders with research-based and evidence-based best practices to enhance teacher efficacy and drive student growth and achievement within their school entities or organizations. By focusing on key concepts and providing a comprehensive understanding of the major ideas, participants will develop the necessary skills and knowledge to create a positive impact in their educational settings.
All Pennsylvania educators who successfully complete Unlocking the Power of Group Culture: Building Highly Successful School Communities will be rewarded with 40 credit hours, applicable to either ACT 45 or ACT 48, depending on their specific professional role.
